PhotoSync - Great Photo Sync/Backup App for iOS

Great PhotoSync/Backup App for iOS.

I yesterday tested PhotoSync-App (http://www.photosync-app.com) from die App-Store. The App is the best App for making backup copies of photos stored on the iPad. It works just fine and is very quick. Just great is the feature that it indicates, which photos already have been transferred and which ones are new. It also suports transfers to a number of web services and the transfer directly to a Mac or Windows PC. You can select individual photos by tapping them or select a range from ... to by double tapping the first photo and tapping the last one. Great solution.

The App will suport CloudFTP from Version 1.6 on, when FTP username and password aren't mandatory settings anymore. Version 1.6 is now in the approval process as I have been told by the support and will be released hopefully soon.

I really can recommend this app!

Yes, I like this app and have been using it with Dropbox and a SFTP server. Nice to know that it will soon support CloudFTP.

Was away from home on the weekend, no wifi available, and needed to transfer photos via Photosync from my phone to my wires phone. I had a CloudFTP v12 with me, turned it on, and it worked a treat, with both phones transferring via the cloudftp.

The 1.6 is still not available, the approval process seems to be a bit long....

I have ver. 1.6 and use it all the time for x-fers between iDevices and the PCs. I have set up CloudFTP as a target, but it only works for a single file. Sending more than one file creates an Error - to check connection....

Any thoughts?

I had the same issue & in my case it was because I had deleted the destination folder on the drive attached to the CloudFTP. If you send it directly to the CloudFTP without selecting a valid device attached, it will also give the same error (accidentally tried this once too :)). The best way to ensure that the destination directory is valid, is to create it within PhotoSync (In the FTP setup).
Hope this helps.

Running this now with CloudFTP Firmware v20 beta, WD My Passport Studio 2TB drive with MS-DOS FAT32 formatting, PhotoSync 1.6
It is the only FTP or Photo sync app I've tried yet that will transfer both the RAW (NEF) and JPG versions of the files put on the iPad via the camera connection kit. Every other app I've tried only sees the JPGs to transfer.
