CloudFTP not displaying files that ARE on Disk

Postby pasc » Mon Jun 18, 2012 3:47 am

Here is a funny problem, I copied some files over to my Harddrive using CloudFTP bound into Windows as a Network Drive

the files are actually there on the harddrive:
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/14586156/stuff ... _count.jpg

However over the webbrowser:
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/14586156/stuff ... ing_it.jpg
OR
the Windows networkbound-in-drive:
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/14586156/stuff ... laying.jpg

I cannot see them

I did the same thing: copying files from pc to harddrive OVER CloudFTP before, however I used the WebDrive in that case and it worked flawlessy - with both webbrowser, and windows-network-cloudftp-drive displaying the files
(however WebDrive will no longer connect to CloudFTP for me for some reason)

Any idea on this weird error ?

EDIT: OK, sorted out, it is a problem of CloudFTP but in a DIFFERENT WAY:
Cloud FTP cannot read the filenames if they start with "._", here the prove, once I took that part off the filename it displayed beautifully:

Please fix this Sanyo !

Funny fact: you CAN use CloudFTP to acces DVD's/CD's by connecting an external DVD Drive to it :) Terrific !

ok, I got told that "._" files are seen as index files.

Problem solved, don't name your files with "._" in front :)
